What are probiotics?
Probiotics are “beneficial” bacteria that help regulate your digestive system and boost your immune system. Probiotic cultures encourage the growth of the “friendly” natural healthy bacteria that live in your gut so that they may help restore the balance of good and bad bacteria.
The word “Probiotic” literally means “beneficial to life”.
Früzinga® has the following live and active cultures: L. acidophilus, L. bulgaricus, L, paracasei, S. thermophilus.
Why a high fiber content?
We believe that the inclusion of a high fiber content in Früzinga® to be highly beneficial for your body. That’s why each of our probiotic drinkable yogurts has an advanced soluble ingredient called VitaFiber™. VitaFiber™ not only helps your body maintain healthy cholesterol and blood sugar levels, it also provides a convenient way to assist with the improvement of mineral absorption and in the prevention of constipation. VitaFiber™ is FDA-GRAS and Health Canada approved.
Is Früzinga® also a prebiotic?
It certainly is. Früzinga's dietary fiber ingredient VitaFiber™ is also a prebiotic. Prebiotics are the lesser-known sibling of probiotics. Prebiotics are dietary fibers that probiotics use to flourish and grow. Whereas probiotics are living organisms, prebiotics are not. Prebiotics compliment your gastro-intestinal health by helping to bolster your intestinal micro flora.
Why is protein so important for my body?
Protein is required by the body for the growth, maintenance and repair of all cells. Did you know protein is a major component of all muscles, tissues and organs? Protein is vital for practically every process that occurs within the body such as metabolism, digestion and the transportation of nutrients and oxygen in the blood. Protein is also necessary for the production of antibodies, which fight against infection and illness. As a drinkable yogurt, Früzinga® is an excellent way to boost your body’s intake of protein.
Is the milk we use in Früzinga® pasturized?
It is. Furthermore, we only add the probiotics found in Früzinga® after the milk has been pasteurized. This allows us to protect the integrity of the live and active cultures in each and every Früzinga® . We only use certified Grade A milk when preparing our delicious drinkable yogurts.
Why is calcium so important for my body?
Getting enough calcium is essential for strong teeth and maintaining the necessary level of bone mass to support the structures of the body. Your body is constantly using calcium for your heart, blood, muscles and nerves. Each day we lose calcium through normal bodily processes such as waste and the shedding of hair, fingernails, sweat and skin.
Lack of sufficient calcium in the diet significantly increases the risk of developing osteoporosis (thinning of the bone). It is estimated that 70% of people do not receive sufficient levels of calcium in their diets.
Your body cannot make its own calcium. The only way to get enough calcium is to consume calcium-rich foods such as Früzinga® . Früzinga® is an excellent source of calcium and a convenient way to replenish this vital mineral that is essential for life.
Why does Früzinga® include Vitamin D?
Vitamin D has several important functions. Perhaps the most vital are facilitating normal immune system function and regulating the absorption of calcium and phosphorous in the blood - two factors that are extremely important in the development and maintenance of healthy bones and teeth.
Sustaining sufficient levels of the vitamin is important for improved resistance against certain diseases. If your body does not receive enough Vitamin D, you are at risk of developing bone abnormalities such as osteomalacia (soft bones) or osteoporosis (fragile bones).
Vitamin D deficiency is common among the elderly, infants, people with dark skin and people living at higher latitudes or who get little sun exposure. Vitamin D deficiency has been seen in up to 80% of hip fracture patients.
Früzinga® contributes 25% of your recommended daily intake of Vitamin D.

Sugar alcohols are neither sugar nor alcohol. They occur naturally in plant products such as fruits, and berries. Erythritol, is one such sugar alcohol.
How do I calculate the net carbohydrates in a Früzinga®?
To calculate the net carbohydrates, you subtract the fiber and sugar alcohol from the total carbohydrate number. So for Fruzinga® Strawberry, that calculation would be 27g (total carbohydrate) minus 8g (dietary fiber) minus 7g (sugar alcohol) which would equal 12g. This would be the total net carbohydrate count that your body would absorb.
