Protein Packed Strawberry Popsicles

This year's theme is diabetes, a disease charatarised by elevated blood glucose levels. It causes around 1.5 million deaths a year, plus an additional 2.2 million deaths due to high blood glucose. Diet and exercise are essential to manage diabetes and to avoid the potential diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. In the United States, the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes is on the rise in children and teens, primarily in those who are overweight.
With our focus on the diet component, we decided to create a healthy, low-calorie snack with no added sugar (because we never add sugar!), that is not only delicious, but jammed packed with nutrients such as fiber, antioxidants, and protein.
Fun Fact: Strawberries are a diabetic superfood due to their extremely low glycemic index, which helps diabetics keep their sugar levels under control. 1 Cup Frozen Strawberries
2 Tablespoons Almond Butter or other nut butter of your choice
1 Bottle Strawberry Früzinga (7oz)
1. Place the strawberries, 1/2 banana, Strawberry Früzinga, almond butter or nut butter of choice.
2. Blend until smooth.
3. Pour mixture into molds and freeze until frozen (4-6 hours).
Voila! Delicious, low calorie, protein-packed popsicles with no added sugar.
